The Joint Regional Transportation Agency (JRTA) is a new provincial Crown Corporation tasked with addressing transportation issues associated with rapid growth in Halifax and surrounding communities (about a one-hour travel time from Halifax).
To achieve this, the JRTA is developing the Regional Transportation Plan.

We've been busy! In 2023, we completed the first stage of engagement on the Regional Transportation Plan, published our What We Heard report, and have drafted a Vision, Goals, and Principles.
